Research & Development

From final inspection to container door — every carton leaving our factory floor is packed, marked, documented and loaded to your specification. No third parties. No gaps in the chain.

R&D Is The Engine Behind Every Garment.

Every product we manufacture starts long before a single yard of fabric is cut. Our Research & Development team turns a brand’s idea — a sketch, a spec sheet, a competitor sample, or just a performance requirement — into a production-ready garment that performs the way it’s supposed to, at the volume you need it.
R&D at OEM Sports Wears is led by a Product Development Manager and supported by pattern engineers, textile technologists, and a dedicated sampling unit — working across our Sialkot manufacturing HQ and coordinated with our European liaison office in Badalona for brands sourcing from the EU

01

Concept & Technical Design

We convert briefs, mood boards, or reference garments into full technical packs — spec sheets, measurement charts, and construction detail — before anything reaches the cutting table. Sizing logic and seam placement are engineered around how the garment will actually be worn and played in.

02

Fabric & Performance Research

Material choice is where performance is won or lost. We continuously benchmark fabrics for weight, stretch recovery, moisture-wicking, breathability, and colorfastness — matching the right blend to the right sport, climate, and use case.

03

3D Visualization & Prototyping

Before a design is committed to physical sampling, our design team builds digital and 3D mockups so brands can review fit, colorways, and print placement remotely — cutting shipping delays and speeding up approvals for international clients.

04

Sampling & Fit Testing

Once a design is locked digitally, our sampling unit builds physical prototypes for hands-on evaluation — checking fit on mannequins and fit models, and confirming the garment moves the way an athlete needs it to before it goes into production.

05

Compliance & Quality Alignment

R&D doesn’t stop at design — every new development is checked against our compliance framework before it’s cleared for production, so what gets approved in sampling is exactly what ships at scale
